Brief introduction

IPCC 2013 is the intermediate level course in chartered accountancy exams . It came into existence by replacing PCC which earlier served as the intermediate course in chartered accountancy exams. IPCC is not much different from PCC . The syllabus is almost the same, however, certain subjects have been broken down into multiple subjects. For example the accounting subject PCC exams has been broken down into accounting and advanced accounting subjects.


In 2013 IPCC comprises two groups. A student is required to clear both groups in order to clear his or her IPCC exams.

Group 1 consists of four subjects while group to contains only three subjects.

The subjects covered in group 1 are as follows
1 Fundamentals of accounting
2 law ethics and communication
3 Income tax,vat and service tax
4 cost accounting and financial management

The subjects contained in group 2 are as follows:
1 Auditing and assurance
2 Information technology and strategic management
3 Advanced accounting

CA IPCC Exams and Results

IPCC exams are held twice a year in the months of May and November. Lakhs of students appear for IPPC exams in these respective months. The results for these exams are declared after two months of the date of the last exam.

The results for exams held in the month of May are declared in the month of August and the results for the exams held in November are declared in the month of February. Last exams of IPCC 2013 were held in the month of May. The results for May 2013 exams are expected to be out soon at the time of writing this article.
